Meet the founder

Hi, I’m Renata!

I am the calligraphy & engraving artist behind Nelling Script, based in Berlin, Germany. 

Originally from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, I consider myself a global citizen. I lived in the U.S. for a while, and pursued my studies in Edinburgh, UK before settling in Germany in 2012. I have my masters degrees in Finance and Marketing and quite a vast experience of working with corporate clients. By day, I thrive in a full-time corporate job, and by night, I rock as a calligrapher. 

My journey into calligraphy began during the pandemic in 2021. Little did I know that my creative spark would evolve into a passion project and then turn into a side hustle. 

Primarily I offer my services as an Event Calligrapher doing live, on-site calligraphy for clients of luxury brands and corporate events. Leveraging my professional background, fluency in three languages (English, Russian & German), and friendly personality I strive to create an extraordinary brand experience that leaves a lasting impression on clients.
